BACHILLERATO

My angloamerican lifetime

I never believed that “school” could become something more than just an education place, which contains work, class and grades. However, after eleven years at the Anglo-American School my life has completely changed, and I feel truly grateful for it. Even today, I remember with tears of joy my first years at school, I used to be the shy and chubby kid in the corner just waiting to go back to class during recess time, but fortunately I met marvellous people as I was growing up, from friends to teachers who left their affection and lessons upon me with the aspiration that someday I became as valuable as I could ever be. There is no other school I would rather be in than this one, because cooperation is taken over competition, grades do not have as much importance as values when teaching children to overcome their fears and become the first promoters of change worldwide. It might be rough or heartbreaking a few times, but in the end, there is nothing greater than being able to say: “I made it” after building long lasting relationships, overcoming difficulties and learning from people all over the world. For all these reasons, I must thank the Anglo-American School for helping me become the man I am today.

The trip of your life is just pretty much a month far from. The dance of your dreams will happen in six months. You would have to deal with the exam that will decide what your life will be like in a near future, and after living all of that you will graduate, receive a piece of paper that represents the goal you have been blindly trying to achieve for twelve years, what will come after that?
The emptiness you can get to feel when thinking where all that time has gone is overwhelming, as thinking that now you are apparently an independent person at making certain  decisions, choosing a career can be difficult, will the shoes that I have chosen  fit perfectly for me? Or will I have to make a try and mistake experiment?
School leaves me with the problem of having seen many subjects all my short life and liking a bunch of them that aren’t apparently related ,yes I am a little bit of a nerd when liking things, but it is only because things must be done with passion and because trying to be good at everything has led me to end up liking pretty much all parts of the cake. But then the other strange part, and a beautiful paradox, is that even when school gave me passion for things it also quit it from me;the pressure put on us doesn’t  let us develop correctly , leading us to sometimes not wanting to do anything, or just to be extremely bored every second of our lives.
School let me knowledge and not only the one that is in school books, it mainly taught me how to be a better person , or at least try , but the most important thing that school gave  me are memories, little pieces of time that I remeber as clear as I can, silly things that can’t be erased, the most seriuos moments of my life , things said, things heard, or meeting adults  that don’t seem like it except for their wisdom, or the friends that I want to share my life with , or maybe  a little bit more of it, with friends I will defend at any cost.
What school has made with my life is to fill it with love through rough and soft, and this has  made me the person I am. I would describe all that school gave me in one word , love, but in the way of an indicative verb.

Hi, I'm Alejandro and I am a student of 11th grade.  Let me introduce you this wonderful place. After 12 years of studying in this school and being under pressure by the fact that this year will practically define the rest of my life, I have so much to be thankful for. During my time here, I have improved my cognitive skills to a point where I have realized that I could go and study abroad with a scholarship. One of the things I like the most is that teachers are so well prepared to answer all of your questions from the simple ones to those that are pretty advanced. Furthermore, they can contextualize practically any topic in order to help you understand it better. This might not be the place for sports people, but if you are an academic, you will find this place lovely. The fact that we learn a lot of English opens many doors for all of us to go and complete further studies abroad in English-speaking countries. Every single student that graduates from this school is fully prepared to face their future and complete their dreams. I will always be proud to belong to this awesome community.

EXALUMNOS

It is not a secret that life is about phases, and as they are longer, they become more relevant and also leave a bigger trace. Now, I am about to finish one of the most important stages of my life: Anglo American School. It would be crazy disregarding that my best years have been there, because it is not only a place where you go to learn, but also a second home. Values like joy, strength, loyalty, responsibility, honesty and autonomy are definitely a really important part of my life thanks to the school; the best friends I have ever made, who are for the rest of my life, because in this era a lot of very resistant bonds are built. Teachers, who day by day exert themselves to prepare us more and make us better people, and every single member of the educational community that contributes in order to make a student's experience more pleasant. Every little detail has made of these years something unequalled, and nostalgia comes to me when I realize that soon this will end, but also it fills me with joy knowing that I could not have spent  my time better, in a place where I received the best education as possible. A big part of my goals had their beginning thanks to this institution, which also has given me every tool in order to achieve them in all the aspects of my life. Thanks to this second family, I found brotherhood in my friends, paternal love and an example to follow in my teachers and a huge affection for the school that has given me the best memories ever. I owe the institution a really important part of who I am today and I am proud to say it. Thanks Anglo.

Time passes by very fast, and I am about to start a new stage of my life.  I stop, look back and see, with joy and nostalgia, all the moments I have lived in this beautiful place.  This moment brings me memories of those first years I spent at the Anglo American School.  Here I began to learn about the world, and I have also made the most amazing friends anybody wishes to have. It has also been the place where I have lived most of my life full of joy. Twelve years have passed, and happiness increases every day.  My school life has been full of triumphs, I also need to say that here I have learned that making mistakes is part of life. The truth is that, this is what living is all about, falling and getting up, learning from our mistakes, and continue walking. My school has taught me how to love and accept each other as equal. I can honestly say, CAA has become my second home.  Teachers, staff and my family have made me feel very special, unique and very loved and cared.
